Ellen,
Thank you!
I see you help franchises change over.
Can I ask how? Or no chance of taking them out of here?

Dave,
Rich & I have heard the sad story that you have described from so many Quiznos franchise owners. It’s a no win situation, because Quiznos is in the business of selling food & products, at extremely inflated prices, to their franchisees which accounts for almost 90% of their corporate profit. They do not care about running a good restaurant chain; they do not care about their franchisees. They only care about the corporation. This became very apparent through depositions and during testimony at our trial. Our battle has been going on for over 3 years and it is almost a year since we went to trial. Quiznos has appealed the decision by Judge Hoffman. They do not dispute that they wrongfully terminated our agreement or that they intentionally sought to put us out of business. They do not want to pay the legal fees & court costs. Judge Hoffman made his decision on the award based on Quiznos own franchise agreement which clearly states that the loser pays costs. We have not seen a penny and we are in debt to everyone. However, we refused (and still refuse) to let their intimidation tactics wear us down and we have, and will continue to do, whatever we need to so that justice is served.

Quiznos has taken advantage of thousands of people. You are not alone and never blame yourself for what Quiznos did. The “con” in con man comes from “confidence.” We were all taken in by their BS.

As difficult as this is for you now, you will get through this and rebuild your life. Once you put the nightmare of Quiznos behind you, you will once again sleep at night and reconnect with the people you love. Remember that is the most important thing as you move forward. Keep your head high and stay proud of who you are- don’t let Quiznos darkness put you in shadow. I wish you the best of luck and know, in my heart, that you will be happy again.

I too am going to file bk. They have ruined my life. I worked 35 years to pay off my house and cars to lose everything to this company. I am saddened everyday and at my wits end. I can purchase shredded romaine from get fresh produce delivered to my store for 12.00 and q- charges 17.15 a case and it just keeps getting worse. Road construction for two years and a recession! Barely selling 500 a day with lower prices and all the combos and coupons. I have tried everthing and now I am giving up. Then they contact me and asked me to leave the store intact. So they could find another person or persond to take over and continue to pay them everyweek. I am happy all turned out for you, I wish I had the recources.

Ellen - I'm sorry to read about what a horrible time you had with Quiznos. Initially I was interested in opening a store but after reading your experience I'm not at all interested. If anything, I'll go the route of finding my own location and my own brand name.

This just in, from The Washington Post:
"The New York Times Co. said last night that it is notifying federal authorities of its plans to shut down the Boston Globe, raising the possibility that New England's most storied newspaper could cease to exist within weeks."
